What we are looking for:

assistant barn manager - $14/hr

Details:

  • First and foremost, you will need to love mama dogs and puppies!

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Available to work Saturdays and Sundays (starting at 8:30 am) and some weekday/weekend evenings (7pm-10pm)

  • This job involves A LOT of bending down, lifting 40 lbs, sitting on the ground, etc.

  • Work with us at our barn facility in Salado, TX. Ideal candidate will live in Salado.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties:

  • Daily care of puppies

  • Walks with mamas

  • Prepare meals

  • Daily hygiene bathing

  • Mastitis checks

  • Observing nursing

  • Cleaning twice a day inside and outside.

  • Deworming

  • Microchipping

  • Delivery of puppies

  • Reproductive services

  • Staying overnight for puppy care

  • Take pics and videos of puppies

  • Ongoing training of whelping programs

  • And more

Whelping home (work from home) - $500/puppy whelped

Details:

  • First and foremost, you will need to love mama dogs and puppies!

  • You will be an extension of the Red Ranch Dogs team. Raising puppies in your home while following a step by step curriculum and daily supervision with our team.

  • Mama dogs deliver their puppies at our Barn Facility and the puppies remain with us until around 2 weeks of age. You will then receive the mama and puppies when the litter is around 2 weeks of age at your house. You will help whelp or raise them until their go home date which is between 7 and 8 weeks of age. This means you will have the mama and puppies for up to 6 weeks at a time.

  • You will need to be home daily during this timeframe. We can discuss how long the mama and puppies can be left alone during periods where you are away from home.

  • The ideal candidate will own their own home, have a fenced off backyard and a dedicated space for the care of the litter.

  • Must have great communication skills and be able to collaborate well with a team.
